An unforgettable trip to London
This week, nine of our Junior Leaders had the incredible opportunity to visit London, exploring some of the country's most iconic landmarks and seeing democracy in action.
They watched the King’s motorcade arrive at Buckingham Palace, walked through St James’s Park, stood outside Downing Street, and even sat in the public gallery of the House of Commons during a live debate. A workshop on the parliamentary process gave them the chance to step into the shoes of MPs, debating and voting just like in the real chambers.
Throughout the trip, members of the public praised the children’s impeccable behaviour. The headteacher even received a letter from a fellow train passenger—a member of the Royal Foundation—who was so impressed with the children's behaviour he just had to tell Mr Bennett!
Experiences like this inspire young minds, broaden horizons, and create lasting memories. A huge thank you to the staff who made it possible!
